About Us
Connected Nation Internet Exchange Points (dba IXP.us) is a 50/50 joint venture between national non-profit Connected Nation, Inc. and carrier hotel pioneer Hunter Newby. Our mission is to improve connectivity for everyone by creating neutral network interconnection facilities, called Internet Exchange Points, in regional hub communities across the United States.

Our facilities allow networks to directly connect with one another, or peer on the DE-CIX internet exchange--the largest peering fabric in the world
LOWER WHOLESALE COSTS
We provide local ISPs, school districts, hospitals, and enterprise customers with access to competitive wholesale IP transit providers, which can reduce costs by as much as 90%.
MORE RESILIENT NETWORKS
IXPs allow physical network interconnection with multiple long-haul and metro networks, providing increased physical routing options for local networks and enterprise customers.

Dedicated to Making the Internet Work Better for Everyone
We've identified 125 regional hub cities across the United States that lack neutral network interconnection infrastructure or an Internet Exchange peering fabric. Our "alpha site" at Wichita State University in Kansas is just the beginning of what will be come a national interconnection ecosystem to support low latency connectivity to AI compute, cloud & content providers, streaming networks, and many others.

WHAT ARE IXPs? WHY ARE THEY NEEDED?
